Everyday dicks, 2023

short film

15′, col.

produced by PAC Padiglione Arte Contemporanea, Milan

Trailer: https://vimeo.com/user15027834/everydaydickstrailer

From July 2019 to April 2020 I had an online stalker, a stranger, who sent me creepy videos and wrote obscenities to me on Messenger. At the end of it, he sent me 46 videos, 20 seconds each, of himself masturbating.
Combining the original footage the stalker sent me and my witness of this abusive experience, Everyday dicks is not only my answer to the sexual harassment I have experienced, but it is also a film raising very crucial questions about the relationship between violence and the power of images, about the contemporary practice of diffused pornography, and about the ‘dick pic’ era we live in.

Fault n. 2, 2023
Digital collage, print on photo rag

Fault n. 3, 2023
Digital collage, print on photo rag
58×51 cm

A fault breaks through a wallpaper (almost as if it was a scar on the skin of the domestic walls) and like an earthquake it reveals the depth of what was hidden behind the wallpaper: the awareness that nothing is really safe, something will breaks the ongoing balance sooner or later.
What is the cause of the surface faulting? The very fragility of the walls themselves symbolically representing unspoken words, power relationships, buried feelings now erupting.

Security blanket, 2022

The Security Blankets are elegant pink cotton crib blankets, decorated with the characters of Alice in Wonderland, but embroidered with phrases taken from a survival manual in which techniques are taught to being able to stop a sexual assault. The embroideries of the instructions to fight/survive violate the innocence of the nursery and carry out a conceptual operation of brutal unmasking of the taboo that limits sexual violence to silence; through this way, this unmasking is also transformed into a warning for future generations.
